The BBA in Global Business is an international program covering international business practices, management, marketing and communication. Upon completion of the BBA, students will be able to demonstrate business-oriented skills and knowledge.  Students will master a blend of theoretical and practical knowledge.  Additionally, they will identify managerial skills and requirements that they will be able to develop in future studies.

Each year, learners will receive the UK-accredited diploma from OTHM, and in the final year learners will earn a double BBA degree from SIMI Switzerland and Horizons University, France.

The objective of BBA in Global business first year is to provide learners with an excellent foundation for building a career in a range of organizations. It is designed to ensure each learner is ‘business ready’: a confident, independent thinker with a detailed knowledge of business and management, and equipped with the skills to adapt rapidly to change.

The contents of the qualifications are focused on:

  • Managing business communication
  • Understanding the business environment and organizations in a global context
  • Business functions including people management
  • Quantitative methods in business
  • Finance for managers
  • Research and academic writing.

After finishing BBA’s first year in Global Management, learners may have begun or are planning to transition into careers in the private or public sector. Having completed BBA’s first year in Global Management, learners have obtained a Level 4 Diploma in Business Management qualification from OTHM United Kingdom and will enable them to progress to the second year of their study or enter employment.

Entry requirements

For entry onto the first year of BBA in Global Business, learners must possess:

  • Relevant NQF/QCF/RQF Level 3 Award/Diploma or at the level of GCE/GCSE or equivalent qualification
  • Mature learners (over 21) with management experience (learners must check with the delivery center regarding this experience before registering for the program)
  • Learners must be 18 years or older at the beginning of the course
  • English requirements: If a learner is not from a predominantly English speaking country, proof of English language proficiency must be provided.

All units within First Year BBA in Global Business are internally assessed by SIMI and externally verified by our accredited bodies. All the courses are criterion-referenced, based on the achievement of all the specified learning outcomes.

To achieve a ‘pass’ for a unit, learners must provide evidence to demonstrate that they have fulfilled all the learning outcomes and met the standards specified by all assessment criteria. A judgment that the learners have successfully fulfilled the assessment criteria is made by the SIMI Academic Board.

The students could get 2 differences major based on the differences in thesis/capstone projects.

After finishing the final stage of BBA in Global Business, students could ready for careers in the private or public sector. Having completed BBA’s Final Stage in Global Business will provide learners the opportunity to progress to Master Level.

After completing all academic requirements, learners will obtain the Accredited & Recognized Qualifications from OTHM United Kingdom, Horizons University, France, and the Swiss Institute of Management & Innovation (SIMI).

First Year

The first year of BBA in Global Business of the Swiss Institute of Management and Innovation (SIMI) represent practical knowledge, skills, capabilities, and competencies that are assessed in academic terms as being equivalent to Higher National Certificates (HNC), and Year 1 of a three-year EU Bachelor’s degree program.
